The Missouri State Park System spans 93 state parks and historic sites across over 150,000 acres of landscapes—from glades and prairies to blue streams and forested retreats. Visitors enjoy more than 1,000 miles of trails, including biking, hiking, horseback riding, and the legendary Katy Trail, the longest developed rails‑to‑trail project in the nation. With 3,500+ campsites, nearly 2,000 picnic areas, 194 cabins, and 2,000+ historic structures, these parks offer unforgettable outdoor and cultural experiences  Whether it's camping under the stars, exploring Missouri's rich heritage, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature, there's a place for everyone to connect, recharge, and be inspired.

The Mission of the Missouri State Parks Foundation is to partner with Missouri State Parks to preserve the state’s natural landscapes, celebrate its history and culture, and ensure outstanding outdoor experiences for generations to come.
